Medical Services Overview

Our group of Infectious Disease Specialists is dedicated to the full-time practice of treating diseases resulting from all types of infections, including cellulitis, abscesses, pneumonia, MRSA and fever. Their expertise covers a broad range in the field of infectious diseases for both adults and pediatrics. As a consultative service, patients are generally referred to us by their primary physician or another specialist to help manage or diagnose an infectious disease. We work closely with your primary care physician or referring specialist in your overall management to guarantee the highest quality of care.

Our practice covers all area hospitals including: Trident Medical Center, Summerville Medical Center, Roper Hospital, Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital, Mount Pleasant Hospital, East Cooper Medical Center, Colleton Medical Center, Beaufort Memorial Hospital, Hilton Head Hospital, Georgetown Memorial Hospital, Waccamaw Community Hospital, Conway Medical Center and Grand Strand Regional Medical Center. We also see patients in our Charleston, Walterboro, Beaufort and Myrtle Beach offices.

What does an infectious diseases specialist do?  The term infectious diseases applies when manifestations result from infection and are associated with either damage or altered body organ function. An infectious diseases specialist is a physician who is board certified in internal medicine and goes beyond this training to advance in the diagnosis and treatment of illnesses caused by microorganisms or germs.
